Philanthropy/Prize Patrol Committee
Director of Philanthropy: Joshua Hamilton
- Assist with working closely with our annual charity.
- Assist with any addition special charity events, food drives, clothing collection, etc.
- Assist in promoting awareness of SDBTA community service programs and organize drives related to them.
- Assist in opportunity drawing ticket sales at each monthly meeting.
Another good position that will help you get to know our membership.
Sponsorship Committee
Director of Sponsorship: Carol Reed
- Assist with sponsorship for all events.
- Assist with spearheading ideas for new sponsorship opportunities
Marketing/Communications Committee
Director of Marketing & Communications: Toni Mecaro
- Assist with chapter communications of all events.
- Assist with keeping up with our Twitter Account.
- Assist with keeping up with our Facebook account.
- Assist with keeping up our LinkedIn Account.
Technology/Website Committee
Director of Technology/Website: Erik Mueller
- Assist the Director of Technology in keeping the SDBTA website up to date.
- Assist in the development of training materials, etc.
- Assist in the organization of documents and information listed on the website.
NBTA Liaison/Government Relations Committee
NBTA Liaison: Frank Costa
- Assist in PAC (Political Action Committee) promotion.
- Help promote and organize Legislative Summit 2010.
- Assist in additional political research and action items for the chapter.
Miscellaneous Volunteer Opportunities:
- Event photographer – We will supply the camera, all you have to do is point and shoot. We would like to have a dedicated individual at each event to take pictures of our members, guest speaker and venues. If you have your own equipment that would be great as well.
- Career and Job Posting Administrator – We are looking for an individual who would be available to monitor the career bank that is available on the SDBTA website. You would be in charge of finding any relevant job opportunities and posting them on the website and removing any expired job openings.
Special Events Committees
Throughout the year we have a few special meetings and events. You can sign up for a single event depending on your schedule or you can volunteer for all of them! Here are the event details:
Summer Networking Event Committee – Date TBD
Committee Chair: Jessica Davis
· Assist in planning, organizing and coordinating the event details.
· Assist in set up or clean up committee.
· Prize patrol – solicit donations for the event and compile a detailed list of items donated.
· Event planner liaison – work with the BOD team to help coordinate the logistics of the event.
Holiday Gala Committee – Date TBD
Committee Chairperson: Jessica Davis
· Participate in planning meetings prior to the event start date.
· Volunteer the day of the event.
· Donation solicitation and organization.
· Decoration committee – Take the agreed upon theme from the committee and create decorations that can be used the day of the event.
· Providing programs and visuals for auction items.
· Gift wrapping of auction items.
· Set up prior to the event.
· Tear down after the event.
· Greeting/registration assistance, informational assistance, etc.
